The project is located on the Bruce Highway between Giru and Ayr. The contract required just over one kilometre of roadway to be widened and strengthened by in-situ stabilising the existing pavement.
Additional works included profiling four existing bridges and installing deep lift asphalt at bridge approaches, along with the installation of a one metre wide centre line treatment and upgraded guardrails.
The highest quality of traffic control was used on the project as the site had to be brought back to one lane of traffic to allow for repair works to be completed, with traffic signals being used at night.
