Vassallo Constructions is engaged by Zenviron to deliver critical upgrade works that will enable the safe transport of wind turbine blades and other large components to the project site. Located along the remote St Lawrence– Croydon Road, this route is seldom travelled by the public, yet it is essential for the successful delivery of the Wind Farm. The key challenge is completing 14 kilometres of earthworks and roadworks in extremely tough conditions while maintaining public access and ensuring safety, all without causing significant delays.
– 14 kilometres of unsealed road;
– Placement of pavement materials between 5000-6000 tonnes per week, placed and finished;
– Placement of 75,000 tonnes of pavement materials;
– 40,000m3 earthworks (cut to fill);
– Approximately 50 culvert upgrades along Croyden Road;
– Bridge construction to DTMR standards;
– Accelerated works programme to deliver project in approximately 6 month construction window;
– Traffic control.
