Vassallo Construction was awarded the Timber Bridge End Bank package from Queensland Rail in late 2023. The Scope included the full construction of the end bank solution for upgrades to the bridge abutments. The construction included tailored traffic management to minimise impacts on the Bruce Highway, whilst ensuring adequate areas for construction.
A secondary aspect of this project include the CTB detour track through private property which involved stakeholder management and open communication which all led to a positive outcome.
All pre-cast structures were landed with a franna without disturbance to the highway.
