The Sarina Northern Access Upgrade involved the construction of a new rounabout at a very busy intersection of the Bruce Highway and Sarina Beach Road. Three houses were demolished as part of this scope, to make way for the two-lane roundabout and dual-lane approaches.
The project was staged to minimise disruption to traffic during the 12 month construction period. Community liaison, effective communication with stakeholders was a key part of this project and was a high priority throughout the course of the project.
