The Canelands Central Redeveoplment project was managed by Bovis Lend Lease and saw the extension of the existing Shopping Centre and construction of a multi-storey car park.
Vassallo Constructions was contracted to build the base level of the car park under the multi-storey car park and external roadworks.
The centre continued to trade during the construction and disruption to existing businesses had to be kept to a minimum.
Roadworks were completed after hours, under lights; at all times ensuring adequate signage and access to the centre. Low ceilings and existing structures added a degree of difficulty to the car park construction.
